Life Day has arrived early as a new patch update for Massive Entertainment's galactic action-adventure release, Star Wars Outlaws, has been deployed for players to update the current game version. The latest patch update, Title Update 1.5.0, was announced on the game's official social media channels on 12th December 2024, in which its patch notes detailed core gameplay, accessibility, performance, and technical issues that were addressed and fixed crashes affecting Amazon Luna and NVIDIA GeForce Now players.
Other notable adjustments and optimizations were also included to improve the game's UI, audio, camera, environments, and general gameplay, ensuring that players "have the best experience across the galaxy." Lastly, the developer has added a new challenge for players to enjoy this holiday and will be treated to a festive reward for the best companion in the Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Title Update 1.5.0 also included a handful of general adjustments and bug fixes available for consoles and PCs, and players noted that the update file size ranges from 6.32GB to 7.5GB, depending on their platform. These broad-ranging changes cover mainly general gameplay, technical gameplay aspects, environments, and specific gameplay features like Photo Mode and Sabacc.
In addition, there are console-specific optimizations for the PlayStation 5 version, as new PS5 Pro enhancements were enclosed with this update, starting with the addition of Upscaler Type. This allows owners to toggle between the PSSR and FSR options, and three PS5 graphics options are also included in the update alongside the Quality (60 FPS) mode available for the PS5 Pro.
New balance changes were made to more base game quests on Akiva, Canto Bight, Kijimi, Tatooine, and Toshara, and some changes were also made to the Wild Card DLC quests. Finally, the developer has added a new Ubisoft Connect Challenge available between 12th December 2024 and 9th January 2025, which utilizes the Photo Mode feature, in which players are to snap a photograph on Kijimi, which completing it unlocks a festive cosmetic for Nix.
