Over the years, the Resident Evil franchise has introduced several memorable characters. Whether it's the universally loved BSAA soldier Piers Nivans from Resident Evil 6 or the terrifying Marguerite Baker from Resident Evil 7, who we doubt anyone likes.
Resident Evil 4 is one of the most successful games in the franchise and has also unsurprisingly introduced a ton of notable characters like the US President's daughter Ashley Grahams and the flamboyant biologist Luis Sera. Veteran fans may already be aware of the former's fate in the 2005's original Resident Evil 4. But what happens to Luis Sera in Resident Evil 4 remake? Read on to find out.
Luis Sera's fate in the Resident Evil 4 remake
Spoiler Warning for Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 4 remake story
Like the original, Luis Sera dies in the Resident Evil 4 remake. Many were hoping for a more positive outcome for this fan-favorite character though unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Capcom has, however, changed how and by whom Luis Sera dies in the Resident Evil 4 remake. For those unaware, in the original, Luis dies by the hands (or shall I say tentacles) of Saddler, the game's main antagonist. Moreover, the scene occurs inside the castle right when Luis is about to hand Leon the vaccine for the Las Plagas parasite. Luis is stabbed from behind or rather pierced from one of Saddler's tentacle tails.
In the Resident Evil 4 remake, Luis gets shot by Jack Krauser in the cave region of the castle. It's right before the Ramon Salazar boss battle.
Interestingly, in both cases, Luis is murdered from behind, completely unaware, while talking to Leon. Just like in the original, it's a painful yet powerful scene to witness in the remake as Luis hands over his laboratory's keys to Leon and takes his last breath.
