Is There A Shiny Luvdisc In Pokémon GO?
As the Valentine's Day event promises to grant every Trainer's heart's desire, you are guaranteed to encounter a Shiny Luvdisc when completing the event-themed Field Research tasks. Likewise, with the Luvdisc Limited Research Day rolling out globally, they can encounter a Shiny Luvdisc as a reward encounter when they've finished the event's Field Research tasks.
As such, these Field Research tasks are available for the Luvdisc Limited Research Day, starting 11th February 2023 between 2 pm and 5 pm local time. You'll need to spin the Photo Discs at Gyms to collect the Research tasks and complete them to be awarded encounters with Luvdisc or Shiny Luvdisc.
As this limited-time event is happening alongside the Valentine's Day event, the event bonuses may be applicable for the duration of the Luvdisc Limited Research Day. The Valentine's Day event bonuses are double Stardust when unwrapping Gfts, and Lure Modules will be active for two hours during the event.
Once you've completed the Field Research tasks, you'll earn encounters with Luvdisc or Shiny Luvdisc, so you'll need to prepare to catch it successfully. It's important to note that should you catch Luvdisc, you can earn Candy; however, it doesn't have an evolution family meaning you can't evolve this Pokémon.
Nevertheless, check your Item Bag to ensure you have enough Poké Balls to use and utilize various Throws, which can assist in progressing with the Field Research tasks for the Luvdisc Limited Research Day. Lastly, don't forget to have plenty of Razz Berries (to prevent Luvdisc from escaping the Poké Ball), Nanab Berries (slows down its movement), and Pinap Berries (double the Candy received when catching), which can be given to Luvdisc to increase your chances of catching it.
