The ongoing Lunar New Year event will end soon, making way for the next Season of Mythical Wishes update event. From Lucky Pokémon bringing Trainers good fortune for the year to come, several Electric-type Pokémon are arriving in electrifying fashion.
The Crackling Voltage event will wrap up the month's seasonal activities as a shadowy presence creeps up on Trainers this February. We've detailed everything about the Crackling Voltage event, including the event schedule, wild encounters, event bonuses, and more.

Pokémon GO Crackling Voltage – Event Schedule
The Crackling Voltage event will electrify Trainers thanks to a bountiful of Electric-type Pokémon appearing in wild and Raid encounters. The event will begin on 27th January 2023 at 10 am local time and conclude on 5th February 2023 at 11:59 pm local time.
During this limited-time event, the Alolan deity, Tapu Koko, will feature in five-star Raids along with its Shiny form, and Shiny Helioptile will make its in-game debut. Lastly, a Field Research activity will be available to earn encounters with some magnetic Pokémon, including Dedenne and Helioptile.
Pokémon GO Crackling Voltage – All Featured Pokémon
As mentioned before, the Alolan guardian deity, Tapu Koko, will be spotlighted in the event’s Raid encounters. Appear as a five-star Raid Boss alongside Registeel, and you may encounter a Shiny Tapu Koko during the Raid battles.
Helioptile will also be featured through the event as the Electric/Normal-type Pokémon can be spotted in wild and Raid encounters. Additionally, it can be hatched from 7km Eggs when placed in an Incubator, and you can also earn an encounter with the Pokémon from the Field research activity.
Pokémon GO Crackling Voltage – All Wild Encounters
As the event is focused on Electric-type Pokémon, a few of these pocket monsters will be spawning in the wild more frequently for the event’s duration. You may also encounter these Pokémon in their Shiny forms (*) should you be lucky enough to spot them.

Unfortunately, there are no event bonuses to report on that trainers can take advantage of for the Crackling Voltage event. However, the next edition of the Team GO Rocket Takeover event will happen simultaneously with the Crackling Voltage event; for that specific event, event bonuses will be activated.
