Phasmophobia is celebrating the Halloween season not only with the new "Crimson Eye" Blood Moon Halloween event, but also a major update for PC and an official console release date. Per the new update, Phasmophobia will be available on PS5, PSVR2 and Xbox Series X/S starting 29 October at 6PM UTC - just in time for Halloween.
"We cannot wait to welcome new Ghost Hunters to Phasmophobia later this month," Kinetic Games wrote in a Steam News update.
The PC update will include bug fixes and optimizations, addressing user complaints. It'll also introduce a new fixture: the Event Board, which will assist Ghost Hunters in tracking challenges. Here, you'll be able to track all challenges, including Apocalypse Challenges. The console version of the game will match the PC edition, and will also receive any future updates simultaneously.
Since both PC and console will receive the same updates and will match one another, all players will be able to take place in the Blood Moon event. It'll feature the new Blood Moon weather event - which alters ghost behaviour and grants bigger rewards - which will become a permanent event if players reach enough Community Goals. Smaller Community Goals rewards include increasingly large ID cards and a Halloween event Trophy.
Developers say they plan to share more details in the release patch notes soon.
