Path of Exile 2 looks like an excellent alternative to Diablo IV, especially since it will be free-to-play like its predecessor. Gamers are still waiting for this action RPG’s eventual release date, though there’s plenty to enjoy with the first game.
Luckily, fans can get their hands on the RPG soon since PoE2 will launch into Early Access this year. While Early Access is usually reserved for PC gamers, this title will be a major exception since it will also be available on current-gen consoles.
The Path of Exile 2 Early Access period will start on November 15 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, as revealed by a recent trailer. Since this is Early Access, fans should expect some aspects of the game to be rough, though that will likely be fixed for its final release.
A sequel to the first Path of Exile, this free-to-play game is set to be bigger than its already massive predecessor. With a new campaign, monsters, quests, and more, it will be interesting to see how this sequel will improve on the beloved original.
Cross-play is also expected to play a considerable part in Path of Exile 2 since the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series are pretty comparable to today’s powerhouse computers. The devs at Grinding Gear Games have also expressed excitement for couch co-op, which should make for wild in-person sessions.
Path of Exile 2 still doesn’t have a release date, but Early Access should appease fans until then. Gamers can also try out the first Path of Exile or Diablo IV if they want more action RPG goodness.
