Caleri doesn't often show her emotions as it's improper for her to conduct herself in such a manner. Nevertheless, she makes an exception as a grave injustice has been committed, central to her Friendship quest, Knowledge Sleuth.
Players are to wear their sleuthing hats as they investigate the disappearance of a book that another Villager happens to be in possession of. Book it to Bahari Bay in search of a missing book by viewing the objectives that guide them in completing the Knowledge Sleuth Friendship quest in Palia.
Palia Knowledge Sleuth Friendship Quest Objectives List
Caleri is at a loss for words after a book from the library has gone missing, and she requires players' help tracking it down. - Talk to Caleri in the restricted section after the library closes at 10 pm
- Become close friends with Tamala
- Search Tamala's boudoir for Caleri's missing tome
- Return to Caleri
How To Complete The Knowledge Sleuth Friendship Quest In Palia?
Knowledge Sleuth is a Friendship quest for Kilima Village's librarian, Caleri, which unlocks when reaching Friendship level 3. Players will receive a letter forwarded to their Mailbox, which Caleri appears stressed about, as she believes Tamala had taken a book without her knowledge and needs to see them pronto.
They'll receive the key to the library's Restricted Section, where they will meet with Caleri from 10 pm onwards. Caleri explains that she thinks Tamala stole a book and needs them to find it and bring it back to the library to complete the quest.
However, before heading to Tamala's home at Thorny Thicket, they are to reach Friendship Level 3 and complete their quest to receive a key to her boudoir, where the book can be found. When they arrive at Tamala's home, they can speak with her to inquire if she has taken the book, which she admits, and she welcomes them to take it back to the library without Caleri knowing.
After finding the book inside Tamala's boudoir, she returns to Calaeri at the library, where she explains the reason why she needs the book back as it contains a recipe for a potion that "removes the scales from one's eyes and allows them to see the truth." As thanks for the safe return, Caleri awards players 25 Renown and 500 Gold, improving their friendship with Caleri and Caleri's Teapot to decorate their home with.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
