Where Can You Play the Nintendo Switch 2? Hands-On Experience Events Revealed

Following months of teases and rumors, Nintendo have finally revealed the Nintendo Switch 2, a successor to the ever-popular Nintendo Switch. In a new reveal trailer, we caught a quick glimpse of what to expect from the new console, including Joy-Cons that are now magnetically attached compared to the original's sliding connection. 

Very few specs and in-depth details were given in the roughly 2-minute-long trailer, though more information is set to arrive with the next Nintendo Direct, scheduled for April 2, 2025. What we do know, however, is that most physical and digital Nintendo Switch games will be compatible with the new Switch 2 — good news for collectors. 

But the question that emerges is: When can we get our hands on the Nintendo Switch 2? Well, a few upcoming events will allow fans to get acquainted with the new hardware sooner rather than later. 

All Nintendo Switch 2 Hands-On Events in 2025

A number of events will be held this coming April to allow fans the chance to get a hands-on experience with the Nintendo Switch 2. These vary by region, and fans will need to register their interest in order to be in with a chance to attend.

European Events

• Paris, France — April 4 - 6, Grand Palais
• London, UK — April 11 - 13, ExCel London
• Berlin, Germany — April 25 - 27, STATION-Berlin
• Milan, Italy — April 25 - 27, The Mall
• Amsterdam, Netherlands — May 9 - 11, Taets Art and Event Park
• Madrid, Spain — May 9 - 11, MEEU

Be sure to check your regional Official Nintendo website for the correct links to register for tickets. Registrations for the London event are open from January 17, 14:00 (UK time) until January 26, 23:59 (UK time).

North American Events

• New York, NY — April 4 - 6, Center415
• Los Angeles, CA — April 11 - 13, Television City
• Dallas, TX — April 25 - 27, Embarcadero Building at Fair Park

Registrations for the NA experiences open from January 17, 12 p.m. PT / 2 p.m. CT / 3 p.m. ET until January 26, 11:59 p.m. local time for each Event location.
