Nintendo announced a Direct presentation for their upcoming hardware release, the Switch 2, scheduled to premiere on 2nd April 2025 via the official Nintendo website and YouTube channel. The highly anticipated presentation covers important details, including the console's hardware features, pre-order information, possible launch day games, and its release date, which could occur sometime in 2025 or later.

As we're less than a week until the Switch 2 Direct presentation, Nintendo surprised players by announcing another Direct presentation, which is happening much sooner. The news was announced across its social media platforms and via the Nintendo website; however, it has warned audiences not to expect any news about the Switch 2 ahead of its separate presentation.

We're a few days away from the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, which is set to premiere on 2nd April 2025 at 6 am PT / 9 am ET / 1 pm UTC across Nintendo's dedicated channels. But before this monumental presentation goes live, another Direct was announced and is taking place on 27th March 2025 at 7 am PT / 10 am ET / 2 pm UTC on their official website and YouTube channel.

Additionally, Nintendo has revealed the primary focus for the upcoming Direct presentation, which they've stated will feature "30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch." Regarding what games could be featured during this half-hour livestream, it's already confirmed to be releasing for the original Switch console, likely a line-up of first-party and third-party titles.

Likewise, it's possible we may finally learn more about the already-announced Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which was first revealed during June 2024's Direct and was given a 2025 release window. There has been no further information regarding an exact release date since then, but fingers crossed that players will be reunited with Samus Aran once more.
