Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Event Invites Are Being Emailed To Registrants

Nintendo officially unveiled the Switch successor, the Nintendo Switch 2, in January 2025 after weeks of multiple rumors and leaks surrounding the upcoming hardware that circulated online. The Japanese publisher confirmed that a Nintendo Direct presentation for the Switch 2 console is scheduled for April 2025, and further details, including its release date, launch day games, and more, will be announced.

Likewise, they've also announced, alongside the Switch 2's reveal, that a Nintendo Switch 2 Experience will be hosted in multiple cities in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, where registrations are closed. It's been reported that Nintendo is in the process of distributing emails to confirm or reject their attendance at the hands-on event.

Nintendo held registrations for their upcoming slate of in-person preview events for the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience, which ran between 17th and 26th January 2025, and a Nintendo account was required for eligibility. This saw all the registered account holders enter a draw in which Nintendo randomly selected multiple account holders have been "selected to receive a ticket."

It was unclear when confirmation emails would be forwarded to Nintendo account holders; however, several online posts confirmed this, as many have either been selected or not to attend the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in their preferred city. Some have expressed excitement or disappointment over the confirmation news; however, Nintendo has confirmed that those who had their applications rejected may have another opportunity to participate in the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event in the eventuality of cancellations, and a Waitlist feature will be available from 29th January 2025.
