With their garden coming along, having grown onions and peas, they can continue exploring Brightoak, where they can find some side quests to complete.

One such quest is Water Under the Bridge, which a neighboring village requires assistance with to start trading in Brightoak; however, they need a nearby bridge to be fixed. Locate Ashmire and help the local villagers establish a trade route by completing the objectives for the Water Under the Bridge quest in Mirthwood.

As players explore Brightoak to see what this quaint village has to offer, they'll stumble across a market area in the town square, where in the top left corner is a tent with an exclamation point. Approach the table where they can check out the market and collect a new quest, Water Under the Bridge, which they can begin anytime during their stay in Brightoak.

As they read the content of the letter found here, they'll soon learn that a group of traders are looking to trade with the villagers of Brightoak; however, they are unable to do so due to a collapsed bridge. To assist them in opening the trade routes to brightoak, they've been tasked with repairing this bridge and bringing business to this village.

How To Complete The Water Under The Bridge Quest In Mirthwood?

Once they've collected this quest from the market at the town square, check the map to view the highlighted area to help them find Ashmire. This village is located southeast of Brightoak, deep within the Murkwater Marsh, where they can follow the river flowing from the village heading south to reach Ashmire.

To best prepare for this journey to Ashmire, ensure they have their sword equipped, as they may encounter dangerous foes along the way. After successfully locating Ashmire, they must find the broken bridge, which, if they had followed the river heading south, would have no problem finding the bridge.

Interact with the broken bridge to begin repair work, which requires a few things to complete its reconstruction, namely 100 pieces of Wood foraged from trees. If they have enough Wood, they can fix it; however, if they're short on supplies, look for smaller trees to chop down before returning to the bridge.

Once they have enough Wood, they can select the option to "Fix Bridge," which uses the aforementioned amount available in their inventory. With the repair work completed, this completes the Water Under the Bridge quest as the trade route between Ashmire and Brightoak has been restored, and they can continue exploring Ashmire, speak to NPCs to acquire new quests and find plenty more activities to do in this area.
