Mirthwood: Will There Be A Christmas Seasonal Event

The medieval fantasy RPG Mirthwood just got pushed back from its slated release date in September to November 2024 as the game's developer, Bad Ridge Games, cited needing more time to work on core gameplay features. This also saw some tweaks to its roadmap, which the developer had first released days before its PC launch, highlighting key gameplay content and features arriving post-launch.

In the wake of the game's delay, the developer has adjusted the roadmap to spotlight and add a few new content additions, which seasonal content is coming soon in time for the Holiday season. We've discussed and answered whether there will be a Christmas-themed event or content being added to Mirthwood post-launch.

Will There Be A Christmas Seasonal Event For Mirthwood?

Developer Bad Ridge Games recently announced that their "enchanting RPG life sim" Mirthwood has been delayed from its 11th September 2024 release to its new date of 6th November 2024. The developer cited that core gameplay features like "performance optimization, localization, and some of the systems" require more time and attention to work on them before their release.

This also saw some changes to their Development Roadmap, which the original and updated versions provided players with a brief preview of all new content, features, and mechanics before its launch. This includes launch day and post-launch hotfixes, patch updates that players can anticipate, and plenty of gameplay content to be added to Mirthwood in the future.

The game's original roadmap version detailed that seasonal content will be added to Mirthwood in a future game update to be released in December 2024. Following the game's delay announcement, this won't be impacted as seasonal content is still planned for Mirthwood, and the developer confirmed that some festive cheer is heading to the game.

This means that players can anticipate Christmas-themed content coming to Mirthwood; however, we cannot confirm what type of content will be available. The Christmas seasonal content is part of "The Feast and Festivities" update, which also adds festivals and multiple World Events, so it's possible that a Christmas-themed festival may be featured in-game.
