Developer Bad Ridge Games have released their first Development Roadmap for their "enchanting RPG life sim" game, Mirthwood, providing players with a glance at future game updates, content additions, new features and mechanics, and plenty more over the coming months. The forthcoming content additions include seasonal events, which players can happily anticipate engaging with throughout the year.

As we can look forward to some stellar seasonal events, likely based on real-world celebrations, festivities, and special occurrences, one future real-world special occurrence in October brings all things spooky and terrifying: Halloween. While it may not be as widely celebrated as the Holiday season or Christmas, it's one globally recognized event that often appears in video games, so can we expect a Halloween-themed event in Mirthwood?

Currently as of writing, we cannot confirm whether there will be a  Halloween-themed event in Mirthwood, as seasonal events are expected to arrive in the game's December 2024 update. "The Feast and Festivities" update is confirmed to be adding Christmas-themed content, and while the developer has revealed what to expect in November 2024, it's not stated that seasonal content will be added to this specific update.

Speaking of the game's November 2024 update, thematically, it's aptly titled "Death and Taxes," and most of the new content is centered around these themes. This includes funeral events for deceased NPCs, which could add some haunting experiences that will bring chills and terrifying scares, likely with the addition of attending funerals and various related practices.

Along with the arrival of funeral events to Mirthwood, the "Death and Taxes" update also includes ailments, likely increasing the possibility of characters getting ill or sick in-game.
