The Age of Ultron is almost upon us—here’s everything we know so far about Ultron’s arrival in Marvel Rivals.

With Marvel Rivals Season 2 just around the corner, many players are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Emma Frost (myself included!). But just as exciting is the upcoming debut of one of Marvel’s most iconic villains—Ultron. While we know he’s set to join the roster sometime during Season 2, there are already a few leaks hinting at what we can expect. So let’s dive into the details and break down everything we know so far about Ultron’s arrival in Marvel Rivals.

As of now, there’s no official release date for Ultron in Marvel Rivals, but current leaks suggest he’ll be introduced during the mid-season update for Season 2. This timing gives players a chance to settle in with Emma Frost—who’s expected at the season’s launch—while also staying aligned with NetEase’s reported goal of releasing a new hero roughly once a month.

Ultron's Role and Abilities

According to leaker RivalsLeaks, Ultron will be classified as a Strategist, which might sound unusual at first—but it actually makes a lot of sense. Making him a Duelist would make him feel too similar to Iron Man, and with Emma Frost already taking the Vanguard role this season, adding a pure villain in a support role adds more diversity to the roster. And honestly, the idea of a healer with a god complex is kind of awesome.

In terms of gameplay, Ultron’s kit appears to focus on healing, but he’ll still pack a punch. RivalsLeaks claims he’ll have a two-star difficulty rating, making him a solid middle-ground support—ideal if C&D feels too easy or Luna is too challenging.

While nothing is officially confirmed yet, here’s what RivalsLeaks has shared about Ultron’s potential abilities:

Weapon – Encephalo-Ray

  • Fires a continuous beam of burning energy.

Passive – Algorithm Correction

  • Hold Space/X/A to descend slowly while in the air.

Ability 1 – Dynamic Flight

  • Dash quickly in the direction of movement, then enter a free-flight mode.

Ability 2 – Imperative: Patch

  • Summon a massive drone to follow an ally, healing all teammates in its radius and giving extra healing to the marked ally.

Ability 3 – Imperative: Firewall

  • Deploys drones that provide bonus health to allies nearby, centered on both Ultron and the ally affected by Imperative.

Ultimate – Ultron Drones

  • Summons a swarm of drones to unleash Encephalo-Ray blasts that either heal allies or damage enemies depending on who they target.

If these leaks are accurate, Ultron is shaping up to be one of the strongest support characters in the game. His ability to heal at range with drones—and potentially turn the tide with an offensively-geared ultimate—makes him a unique addition to the support roster.

Of course, all of this is still speculative, and we recommend taking any leaks with a grain of salt. But if these details hold, Ultron’s arrival is bound to be epic—and I, for one, can’t wait to see him in Marvel Rivals.
