Firaxis Games finally launched the first DLC for its tactical role-playing game (RPG), Marvel's Midnight Suns, bringing one of Marvel Comics' most recognizable and popular characters to the game. Wade Wilson / Deadpool not only brings his off-the-wall demeanor but unique combat skills, fourth wall breakage, and insane one-liners that won't be forgotten.
With new Story Missions, cards, and cosmetics for players to acquire in-game, the developer recruited its long-time voice actor to jump back into that full-body suit again. We explored who is voicing the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, in Midnight Suns.
Who Is The Voice Actor For Deadpool In Midnight Suns?
Deadpool has found yet another video game to bring his wise-cracking personality, insane weapon, ability skillset, and delicious chimichangas. The Merc with a Mouth will find himself at home, taking up residence at The Abbey and making friends with fellow Midnight Suns members.
While many are delighted to see Deadpool interact with his “best friends” Wolverine and Spider-Man, not many will know it has been more than four years since Deadpool last appeared in a video game and a decade since Deadpool’s solo video game. But what’s even more impressive is that developer Firaxis Games recruited the character’s long-time voice actor to slip back into his blood red fill body tactical suit.
Acclaimed voice actor Nolan North returned to voice the fourth-wall-breaking character adding yet another performance credit to his celebrated career. The American voice actor is best known for his multiple appearances in films, television series, and video games, including Crystal Dynamics’ The Avengers, God of War, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Batman: Arkham City.
North has voiced Wade Wilson / Deadpool in several Marvel video games, including Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Stern Pinball: Deadpool, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes. However, North is most known for voicing Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video game series and as David in The Last of Us.
North’s recent appearance as the Merc with the Mouth started as a social media campaign last October in which he rallied players to get Deadpool to become a member of the Midnight Suns. While he eventually took over the game’s social media accounts, which saw him provide game codes, art challenges, and poke fun at the Midnight Suns.
Players will hear more of North’s Deadpool as the character is finally playable, but you’ll need to complete specific Story Missions to unlock him. In addition, he’s included as part of The Good, the Bad, and the Undead DLC, available separately or in the game’s Season Pass.
