Marvel Snap: Will There Be A Halloween Seasonal Event In 2024?

'Tis the season to haunt and scare opponents by unleashing venomized attacks in Marvel Snap's Symbiote-themed season this October. Sure, we have Carnage, Venom, and more recently, Symbiote Spider-Man joining the ranks, but more Symbiote heroes and villains are joining the card battler for more gooey and creepy in-game hijinks for all the enjoy (or be afraid of)!

While Second Dinner has always planned October around Halloween, can we anticipate some scary shenanigans in this venomized season? We addressed the question of whether there'll be a Halloween-themed event in Marvel Snap in 2024.

Will There Be A Halloween Seasonal Event For Marvel Snap In 2024?

October 2024 will see a plethora of Halloween-themed content, including limited-time game modes, events, and cosmetics, added to multiple popular online games to unleash the scares onto players this month. While Marvel Snap had some spooky new variants and bundles to celebrate the Halloween season, can Snappers expect to see more themed cosmetics and a seasonal-themed event to grab some terrifyingly good rewards?

According to the contents of the "We Are Venom" season reveal developer Second Dinner, published on 30th September 2024, High Voltage, a new limited-time game mode, will debut in-game and be active between 16th and 24th October 2024. This new game mode will find Snappers playing against each other, and they'll receive a randomized amount of Energy each turn to play out their cards, where they'll earn Volts in place of Cubes.

This limited-time game mode has no Snapping involved, as each game lasts three rounds for a winner to be determined. This game mode will have various rewards on offer to Snappers, including a new Avatar, a Mystery Variant, Collector's Tokens, Credits, and the new card, Agony.

Additionally, four venomized and scary Albums will find their way to Marvel Snap, where Snappers can start collecting themed variant cards required to complete them. These featured Albums included a Carnage-themed one dedicated to Peach Momoko's Nightmare Variants, which will add plenty of scares to their Collections this month.

Last year, Second Dinner launched the Bloodstone season, which welcomed several members of the Midnight Sons ensemble to the card battler game in Elsa Bloodstone, Black Knight, Man-Thing, Nico Minoru, and Werewolf by Night and their respective spooky variants. Additionally, two Halloween-themed Albums featuring notable past and present members of the Midnight Sons, adding variants based on Firaxis' Marvel's Midnight Suns game.

These Albums, once completed, rewarded Snappers with Credits, Mystery Variants, Emotes, Spotlight Keys, and a themed card back. A Magik-themed bundle was also launched for Marvel Snap, in which Snappers could obtain the Magik Midnight Suns variant card and avatar, new Title, Credits, Gold, and Magik Boosters.
