The Amazing Spider season will get underway this September, lifting prominent supporting characters from the acclaimed comic book series and bringing them to the popular card battler Marvel Snap. One of the latest arrivals to the game is known for being one of Spider-Man's frequent allies and occasional foes, Silver Sablinova, better known as Silver Sable.

Silver Sable's deadly combat abilities could provide some much-needed power to decks this season by aligning the card with key synergies to overwhelm opponents. This guide unpacks everything about Silver Sable, including a brief explainer of the card's ability, addressing key synergies, and providing three decks to slot in Silver Sable for Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Silver Sable Card Abilities Explained

Symkaria's most highly regarded and well-respected citizen, Silver Sablinova / Silver Sable, is making her way to Marvel Snap as part of September 2024's The Amazing Spider season. A highly trained mercenary frequently contracted to track down criminals, reclaim missing or stolen property, and other known activities, her encounters with Spider-Man have made her one of Spidey's most noted allies and occasional opponents throughout comics and now in games, joining Marvel Snap.

Silver Sable will be released as a one Cost and one Power card with quite an interesting ability similar to Cassandra Nova. This card has an On Reveal ability, which "steals" two Power from the top card of their opponent's deck, essentially giving her three Power.

Theoretically, this makes Silver Sable a one-Cost and five-Power card if their opponent opts to play the card with the stolen power, but Luke Cage can negate it. As such, Silver Sable synergizes well with High Evolutionary and Ajax decks and, as alluded to, can be countered by Luke Cage but also Shadow King, Killmonger, and possibly Cosmo, if Grand Master is included, (and played much later) in Silver Sable decks.

Snappers looking to add Silver Sable to their growing collection can acquire the card in one of two ways: the first is through the Spotlight Caches using Spotlight Keys to unlock them. Alternatively, they can use their Collector's Tokens and spend 6,000 Tokens on purchasing the card from the Token Shop during its release week.

Best Marvel Snap Silver Sable Decks: Silvery Bounce

Being a one-Cost card, Silver Sable is yet another great candidate to be slotted into a Bounce deck. (Picture: Untapped.gg)

Silver Sable has such great synergy with plenty of cards, decks, and locations, so much so that her versatility is one of the best for a one-Cost card drop. One of her best speculated deck archetypes is Bounce, which has gained prominence following Marvel Boy's release; pairing her with a few critical synergies like Beast and Falcon can make Silver Sable quite a devasting card to counter.

Bounce your way to victory with this awe-inspiring deck from Marvel Snap content creator Docty, which pairs the Beast and Falcon package with The Collector, while The Hood and Kate Bishop guarantee The Collector consistently gains a power buff. Nico Minoru's versatility can provide massive power buffs to other vital cards or duplicate them to help The Collector gain further power.

The rest of the deck features Kitty Pryde, Bishop, Hit-Monkey (although Sage can be an option here), and Black Swan to maximize the final turn play by getting multiple one-Cost cards on the board. There are some worthy substitutions, as players can include Marvel Boy or Ka-Zar for power, and if they do fear going against Destroy decks, Caiera could be another card to cycle instead of Rocket Raccoon.

Best Marvel Snap Silver Sable Decks: Silver Affliction

Another deck archetype that Silver Sable will thrive in synergizing with is Affliction, which saw a massive surge in play after Ajax and Cassandra Nova's releases during the Maximum Effort season. While this playstyle can be countered with Luke Cage, they can neutralize this card with Rogue or Enchantress to guarantee a near-toxic match that works well with Silver Sable's capabilities.

This hybrid Affliction/Clog-style deck from Marvel Snap content creator ItsGuestGaming will see Silver Sable or Selene being played out earlier to afflict their opponent's hand and deck. Before Hazmat or Scorpion is on the board, ensure that Werewolf By Night gets played so the card can bounce between locations, gaining power while afflicting cards before clogging locations with The Hood and Sentry.

To double on stealing power, Cassandra Nova can be played, and they can play Grand Master at Silver Sable or Cassandra Nova's locations to trigger their ability again. Depending on what enters their hand, they can play Viper or Annihilus to send The Hood or the Void over before Ajax comes on board for the win.

Best Marvel Snap Silver Sable Decks: Sable Evolutionary

Silver Sable can be included in a hybrid Affliction/Clog deck by pairing the card with the High Evolutionary. (Picture: Untapped.gg)

We've alluded to Silver Sable synergizing well with Bounce and Affliction decks, but her best synergistic deck archetype is the High Evolutionary deck easily. More specifically, for this deck, having Evolved Cyclops, Abomination, and The Hulk paired with some highly important cards can make Silver Sable's inclusion feel more impactful.

This evolved High EVO deck from Marvel Snap content creator Ankh prioritized Hazmat and Scorpion for this deck, with Silver Sable out as early as possible for early "affliction." White Widow will provide an early clog to a location where it's likely to play Evolved Cyclops at this location for further affliction, which allows Evolved Abomination to be discounted and played early.

The new addition to the High EVO deck is Moon Girl, which duplicates players' current hand once She-Hulk enters, with which Magik can be played to ensure that the unspent Energy can discount her cost. Ajax and The Hulk should be the final card plays as Ajax gains power on cards afflicted while Evolved Hulk gains power from unspent Energy.
