Following multiple rumors and leaks teasing a possible crossover with Marvel Rivals, developer Second Dinner confirmed that the December 2024 season is themed on the superhero team-based PvP shooter. This season, a few heroes from Marvel Rivals will join the ranks in the card battler ranks, including Korean pop sensation Luna Snow.

Luna Snow dazzles in Marvel Rivals as a Strategist hero as she inflicts damage to enemies with her cryogenic powers while providing burst healing to her allies so how will she be using her icy powers in Marvel Snap? This guide explains everything about her, from the card's abilities, key synergies, top counters, and a few decks that feature Luna Snow in Marvel Snap.

Marvel Snap Luna Snow Card Abilities Explained

Throughout her several appearances in Marvel comics, one thing is for certain: Seol Hee has dreamed of becoming an artist, and she hoped her vocal abilities and dancing would lead her to find success as a recording artist and support her grandmother. She was trained at the International Music School of the Gifted; however, she encountered A.I.M. during an ambush at an event that she was performing at, which saw the soldiers trapping Seol within "a hi-tech storage freezer," and unexpectedly developed abilities to manipulate over icy elements.

She adopted the name Luna Snow, which she officially debuted in the Marvel Future Fight game before her eventual comic debut in War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas (2019) #1, in which she has since balanced her K-pop status and her superhero antics. The character is confirmed to be a playable character in NetEase Games' superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals, and now she has arrived in style at Marvel Snap.

Upon her release to Marvel Snap, Luna Snow is a three Cost and five Power card with an On Reveal ability, which once played, she adds an Ice Cube to each Snapper's side of the played location. The generated Ice Cube token has a Common Ability, which gives the player +1 Energy at the start of every turn, which gets destroyed if the location is full.

While we'll discuss her key synergies and counters in the decks provided in this guide, Snappers can acquire the Luna Snow base card through the week's Spotlight Caches using Spotlight Keys and via the Token Shop, spending 6,000 Collector's Tokens. Her Marvel Rivals variant is also available through the Spotlight Caches and will appear in rotation at the Token Shop following her release week.

Best Marvel Snap Luna Snow Decks: Luna Against The Machine

Luna Snow offers unique gameplay strategies as she can manipulate energy with the Ice Cube token but seemingly clog an opponent's location until it is destroyed. As this can generate some interesting play lines to prevent their opponent from benefitting from the Energy gained from the Ice Cube, ultimately, Snappers will want to safeguard theirs and destroy their opponent's in the process.

Two of her key synergies with this strategy are Red Guardian and Caiera, as Armor will prevent the Ice Cube from being destroyed, but it does make it a target for Red Guardian. As such, these cards are all featured in this icy deck from Marvel Snap content creator dddrewsky; the main priority is to ramp up their energy with Luna Snow, protect the Ice Cube with Caiera, and eliminate their opponent's Ice Cube with Red Guardian to remove its ability and reduce its power.

Depending on whether they have War Machine in hand within the first three turns, Ebony Maw could be played in the opening turn, but if not, Nebula will be the best card to play. They could play Fenris Wolf on curve before either Caiera, Magik, or Luna Snow; however, we do advise waiting to play Luna Snow with Red Guardian to knock out the opponent's Ice Cube, which Blink can be played to pull out either the Red Hulk or The Infinaut and holding Shang-Chi for the later turn to destroy their opponent's high Powered cards.

Best Marvel Snap Luna Snow Decks: Getting Snowed In

As previously stated, Luna Snow is perhaps a much-preferred card for Energy Ramp decks as Electro will limit cards played per turn; however, Hope Summers is still the best card in this endeavor. However, the Ice Cube token she generates functions well with Clog-style decks, which is the focus of the second spotlighted deck for Luna Snow.

Ideally, Snappers will want to pair Luna with another card with a token card that gets destroyed by a full location in White Widow, evident in this deck from Marvel Snap content creator Ankh. This deck does include Armor over Caiera; however, with White Widow included, we advise playing out both cards with Debrii and The Hood before sending The Hood over with Viper or Annihilus to destroy both the Widow's Kiss and the Ice Cube once the location is full before Armor can be played.

Alternatively, if this is too counter-intuitive, Caiera can be swapped in over Armor, which Hobgoblin can be played and likely discounted by Ravonna Renslayer before Red Hulk joins the battle. If Caiera is utilized over Armor, they do have that protection for Red Hulk; however, if they have priority on the final turn, then Alioth can be the Turn 6 card to play in place of Red Hulk.

Best Marvel Snap Luna Snow Decks: Surfin' The Snow

Who would've thought that Galacta and Luna Snow can synergistically work well together?! (Picture: Second Dinner / Untapped.gg)

Our final spotlighted deck pairs two recent card releases in Luna Snow and Galacta; the latter has been detailed in a separate guide. While we believe these two cosmic heroines would be best friends, their synergies are perfect, especially when combo'd with the Silver Surfer.

We have featured this deck in Galacta's Marvel Snap guide, so we have to give it more glitz and glamor with Luna Snow's inclusion, as outlined by Marvel Snap content creator ReZ Snapper. Granted, the deck does feature Phastos, but due to our playthroughs with this deck, we've preferred using either Magik, Nakia, or Sage instead of Phastos as they are slightly stronger three-Cost cards and are great targets for Silver Surfer to hit.

This deck also includes Hope Summers for more Energy generation, if needed, with Brood and Sebastian Shaw as the targets to hit for power buffs. This is achieved with the additions of Agony, Forge, Okoye, Gwenpool, and Galacta, but do pay attention to Galacta's ability as she'll only grant +3 Power to the first card played each turn in a different location, and not the location where Galacta is played.
