We've entered the third week of the ongoing season for Marvel Snap, and that can only mean a new card joins the battlegrounds. Staying true to March 2025's season, the Prehistoric Avengers, there has been some debate as to who actually founded this ancient ensemble: the Sorcerer Supreme Agamotto or the Lady Phoenix herself, Firehair.
While that argument can be left to the pages of Marvel Comics, Firehair is the latest card release, which sees her wielding her fiery powers to halt opponents from gaining a victory! This blazing guide will detail what we know about Firehair, from her card abilities, key synergies, and top counters, plus some blistering hot decks that spotlight this card in Marvel Snap.
Marvel Snap Firehair Card Abilities Explained
As a mutant and the first-ever host of the Phoenix Force, Firehair may truly be an all-powerful mutant and one that many have feared. It's no wonder that she was a member of the Prehistoric Avengers as her fellow members were tasked with protecting Earth from any threats, and she'll be continuing this honorable duty upon her arrival to Marvel Snap.
The first host of the Phoenix Force, Firehiar, is another Series 5 card release with the official stat line of two-Cost and three Power. This card has quite an interesting ability that almost mirrors the Phoenix Force card, but with slight differences, which reads, "When one of your cards is destroyed, this uses that card’s On Reveal."
Based on its ability description, Firehair synergizes with various Destroy and Mill decks, the latter of which has been played more frequently since the card's release. But Firehair can be countered by Red Guardian (to remove Firehair's ability), Cosmo (to prevent the On Reveal ability from triggering), Armor to prevent cards from being destroyed at a location, and cards like Kate Bishop's Acid Arrow, and Green Goblin.
Nevertheless, Snappers can acquire this card firstly by purchasing it through the Token Shop for 6,000 Collector's Tokens during its release week. But if they want to hold onto those precious tokens, they can spend Spotlight Keys in the hopes of getting the card via the Spotlight Caches system.
Best Marvel Snap Firehair Decks: Fire Force To Destroy
As previously mentioned, two deck archetypes synergize well with Firehair, the first we'll discuss in the first spotlighted deck. With this specific deck, there are a few playlines that Snappers will need to set up, which includes withholding playing Firehair until a resurrected Human Torch is in play.
That being said, this blazing Destroy deck from Marvel Snap content creator dddrewsky features both Firehair and the Phoenix Force; the latter is key in resurrecting Human Torch. This is achieved in the early turns, in which Snappers can play Human Torch and Carnage before playing Magik to give them extra time to set up their plays.
Once the Phoenix Force is on the board to bring back the Human Torch, they can move across locations to gain additional power. If they gain the move spell for Nico Minoru, they can play her and Multiple Man, Nimrod, and Venom, by which they can use Arnim Zola on the Human Torch or Firehair to use Carnage's ability (hopefully) and finish the game with Knull.
Best Marvel Snap Firehair Decks: Milled To Death
Alternatively, to cause the maximum amount of chaos during a game, a Mill-inspired deck might be another great and synergistic home for Firehair. With the main priority being to deplete their opponent's hand and deck by drawing or destroying cards, this deck does have to add Joaquin Torres / Falcon to double up on the On Reveal abilities of their one Cost cards.
Soar to new fiery heights with this Mill-inspired deck from Marvel Snap content creator ReZ Snapper, in which they can play Iceman and Yondu at the Joaquin Torres / Falcon location to give +1 Power to two cards in their opponent's hand and banish two cards. They can play Carnage here and set up the next location, playing The Hood or Cable and Baron Zemo before playing Misery, or play The Hood and Cable and then Misery to destroy these cards.
Next on board is Fenris Wolf and Firehair; the latter card should be able to use the On Reveal ability of one already destroyed card before playing Gladiator. They can activate Fenris Wolf and, hopefully, a discounted Death to win the game!
Best Marvel Snap Firehair Decks: Fire's Eye
The last deck to be spotlighted in this Firehair guide may appear left-field, but it has some viability, with Arnim Zola being the only Destroy card driver in this deck. Yes, we're featuring a Discard/Destroy hybrid deck with the main combo being Daken, Frigga, and Arnim Zola, as the main objective is to create as many Muramasa Shards to their hand for Bullseye to target.
This target practice-themed deck from Marvel Snap content creator Alexander Coccia focuses on the aforementioned trio of cards by ensuring The Collector and Morbius are on board before playing Firehair, Bullseye, and Daken. They can copy Daken once Frigga is on board, and having Magik in the deck guarantees they can extend the game by one turn.
Kate Bishop will generate two one-Cost Arrow token cards for their hand, and with Daken alone at a location, they can play Arnim Zola for Firehair to gain Daken's On Reveal ability. This adds a few more Muramasa Shards to their hand, which, on the final turn, they can play Miek and activate Bullseye to discard all the one-Cost cards, including Scorn, X-23, the Arrow token cards, and Muramasa Shards to buff the Dakens and Firehair for an epic victory!
