Marvel Rivals' Thor To Bring All The Love And Thunder In New Skin Reveal

Another day has passed as the countdown continues to move closer to the global release of the superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals. As the countdown ticked past midnight, developer NetEase Games revealed their latest Rivals Assemble video along with a thunderous surprise that will arrive at launch.

And yes, the latest daily news announcement was unveiled on social media, which coincides with the recent character reveal promo, this time for the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor Odinson. Like with previous social media announcements, this was also a new cosmetic for Thor that will be available when the game launches for consoles and PCs, and he's bringing all the love and thunder, too!

Shortly after midnight on 7th November 2024, NetEase Games uploaded their latest Rivals Assemble video for the Vanguard class character, Thor, accompanied by a new daily announcement. Like with previous announcements for Hulk, Iron Man, Magik, and Rocket Raccoon, this was also a new cosmetic in the guise of a new skin fit for the Asgardian prince himself.

Akin to Rocket Raccoon's skin announcement the previous day, Thor's exclusive skin that became available at launch drew its inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As the skin's name reveals, Thor's skin is based on the Asgardian armor the character wore in the 2022 MCU film Thor: Love and Thunder, in all its color and regality.

"After countless battles and surrendering his title as the King of Asgard, Thor stood at the crossroads of infinity," the social media post description read. As the mighty God of Thunder looks to reclaim "his power and legacy" when the game launches in December 2024, we're still unsure how players can get the skin as a reward after completing Galacta's Quest missions or purchasing from the in-game Shop.
