Marvel Rivals Pre-Download Dates, Times & How To Activate Code & Key

With days left until the start of the Closed Beta Test for Marvel Rivals, developer NetEase Games has released new information for the upcoming testing period on their latest FAQ page. Key information provided includes pre-downloads and code or key activation for the available platforms before the Closed Beta Test begins on 23rd July 2024.

PC players can already begin requesting access for an access key, as registrations are closed for consoles; however, there's another way to get an access key through Twitch Drops. We've compiled all the relevant information to help players pre-download and activate their access code or key for Marvel Rivals' Closed Beta Test.

Marvel Rivals Console & PC Pre-Load Dates & Time

Players can begin installing Marvel Rivals to gain access to the Closed Beta Test on console and PC before the testing period begins. As of 20th July 2024, pre-downloads for Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test have been made available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles and have received the keys, while the Steam pre-downloads have started from 21st July 2024 once they've clicked the "Request Access" button on the game's Steam page.

Console players will receive an email notification if they've been selected for the Closed Beta Test, and the same can be said for PC players, who can also view their status from the Steam page. Players who've participated in the Alpha Test and reached Level 10 or higher will receive automatic entry into the Closed Beta Test via Steam, for which an update is available to install before the testing period starts.

How To Activate The Closed Beta Test Code/Key For Marvel Rivals?

Once players have received an email notification regarding their qualification for the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test, they'll receive an access code or key that must be redeemed for their preferred platform. To activate the Closed Beta Test key on Steam, players must launch the Steam PC client, select the "Games" tab at the top of the client, and select "Activate a Product on Steam," for which they can enter the key before following the prompts to complete the activation.

For PlayStation 5 consoles, players must use the code and redeem it by navigating to the PlayStation Store, selecting their profile or, pressing the triangle button, and then selecting the "Redeem Code" option before entering the code in the box provided. They can progress to downloading Marvel Rivals immediately or wait before the Closed Beta Test begins to install the game.

Lastly, activating the code for Xbox Series X|S can be done by hitting the Xbox button on the controller and navigating to the Xbox Store. Hit the View button to access the Store's side menu and select the "Redeem" option before entering the code provided, following the instructions, and installing Marvel Rivals to their consoles.

Players who missed the console registration period or did not have their access request accepted can still gain entry to the Closed Beta Test. Between 25th and 28th July 2024, free Closed Beta Test codes/keys will be available to claim as Twitch Drops by watching an enabled stream, which can be found through the Marvel Rivals category.

They must watch at least 60 minutes of an enabled stream for a code or key to become available to redeem, and they must have connected their Twitch account to the Marvel Rivals website to view their watch time. PlayStation 5 codes are region-locked, so ensure that the code is redeemable for their region and that each key or code can only be used once.
