We're continuing to inch closer to the official release of NetEase Games' superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals for consoles and PCs this December, generating much hype over the past two weeks. With the global countdown continuing to tick away as players are treated to frequent announcements for each of their playable heroes, some major news will be revealed soon.

The developer has something extremely special planned for Marvel Rivals, as a video presentation will be released shortly to give players a preview of what's next. To further guarantee much excitement for the forthcoming announcement, there will be a "special guest" involved; however, who it may be remains a mystery.

First revealed via the official Marvel Rivals Discord server (h/t Miller Ross) and later confirmed by executive producer Danny Koo, NetEase Games will release a video presentation that provides information on what's next for the superhero team-based PvP shooter. The roadmap video will likely detail launch day and post-launch plans for Marvel Rivals, which may see or tease possible playable heroes, new maps, events, and more.

Players can anticipate this roadmap video, available via the Marvel Rivals YouTube channel on 15th November 2024 at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET and 1 am UTC on 16th November 2024, shortly after the next daily news announcement has been made. It may be possible we may hear more on the recently announced crossover collaboration with Fortnite and several Marvel Games, including Marvel Snap, for their December 2024 season.

Recently, players got the first official reveal look of the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda (h/t IGN) as the next location to be added, with the Birnin T'Challa as the latest playable map for Marvel Rivals. This map features several noted areas or regions, including the Imperial Institute of Science, the Stellar Spaceport, and Warrior Falls, all carefully designed to reflect its Afro-Futurism inspirations with perhaps a few Easter Eggs and references added.
