The forthcoming Closed Alpha Test for the superhero team-based PVP shooter Marvel Rivals will begin in May 2024 and be available exclusively on PC. Registrations to participate in the Alpha are still live as the developer starts forwarding invites, and they've released new information ahead of this testing period.

All Playable Characters & Maps Confirmed For Marvel Rivals
Developer NetEase has revealed some new information for their scheduled Closed Alpha Test for Marvel Rivals, which will start on 10th May 2024. The superhero team-based PVP shooter has confirmed additional information in their recent FAQ post for the Closed Alpha Test, including the start and end dates and times, PC specifications, new game modes, and playable characters.
Some characters, like Hela and Loki, were already confirmed in multiple posts across their social media channels, including Twitter; however, players officially learned which roster of heroes and villains will be available. With five game modes available for the Closed Alpha Test, they can take advantage of the Tutorial mode to learn every or their favorite character's combat abilities before exploring the other game modes and content.

Alongside the roster of playable characters featuring heroes and villains from Marvel Comics, a few maps will be playable across most game modes. According to the aforementioned Closed Alpha Test FAQ post, Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya, Yggsgard: Royal Palace, and Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path are the confirmed maps for the Closed Alpha Test as revealed on social media and the Announce Trailer.
Lastly, the developer confirmed that those participating in the upcoming Closed Alpha Test will be able to fully utilize Controller Support for Marvel Rivals. As confirmed by the developer, players unable to receive invites to the Closed Alpha Test this May will have more opportunities to participate, with dates and times to be announced soon.
