Season's Greetings, players, as the Holiday season has made its way across the Multiverse to Marvel Rivals. Developer NetEase Games announced a new Christmas-themed event, Winter Celebration, Joyful Jubilation, to spread Christmas joy amongst their teammates with a new limited-time game mode, festive rewards, and seasonal cosmetics.

The new limited-time game mode, Jeff's Winter Splash Festival, features our favorite aquatic Strategist hero, Jeff the Baby Land Shark, who comes with plenty of tricks up his warm jacket sleeves and lots of snow to enjoy. This guide details everything we know about Jeff's Winter Splash Festival game mode, including dates and times, gameplay rules, rewards, and more for Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals Jeff's Winter Splash Festival: Event Dates And Times

Marvel Rivals will host its first in-game limited-time game mode during the holidays, with plenty of festivities to enjoy with their teammates. The Jeff's Winter Splash Festival will be arriving to the superhero team-based PvP shooter as part of the Winter Celebration, Joyful Jubilation event.

This limited mode allows players to participate and decorate a specific map with holiday cheer and festive decorations in the form of snow between 19th December 2024 and 9th January 2025. Furthermore, the developer stated that the limited time mode starts at 11 pm PT, which can be dependent on players' server and their timezone, which we've listed below:

• North America: 19th December 2024 at 11 pm PT / 1 am CT and 2 am ET on 20th December 2024
• South America: 20th December 2024 at 4 am BRT
• United Kingdom: 20th December 2024 at 7 am GMT/UTC
• Europe: 20th December 2024 at 8 am CET
• Africa: 20th December 2024 at 9 am SAST
• Asia/Oceania: 20th December 2024 at 4 pm JST / 6 pm AEDT / 7 pm NZST

It's unclear what time the limited-time mode will end its run for the Marvel Rivals' Winter Celebration event, but we'll update this page once more information becomes available. Marvel Rivals Jeff's Winter Splash Festival: Game Mode Details & Rules

This limited-time mode borrows inspiration from a prominent third-person shooter game where players team up in 4v4 action. This mode features everyone's favorite lovable shark (and support hero), Jeff the Baby Land Shark, where teams of four Jeffs compete in the ultimate battle of the best Jeff as the objective is to decorate a specific map, the Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path map based on the official trailer.

Each Jeff team gets a specific color of snow that they must try to cover as much of the map as possible, including their opposing team's section, while slowing them down using Jeff's new icy fun abilities. The Jeff team that has covered the map with the most festive snow, determined by an in-game progress meter, wins the match so deck the halls and have fun in the snow with your teammates... and plenty of Jeff cuteness!

Marvel Rivals Jeff's Winter Splash Festival: Rewards & New Store Cosmetics

The official trailer didn't detail all the rewards that players can receive for participating and winning the Jeff's Winter Splash Festival, but the developer has revealed a few that will indeed spread holiday joy in-game. All players are confirmed to receive the Jeff's Winter Splash Festival skin for Jeff the Baby Land Shark which this adorable shark gets to be dripped out in a custom-made winter outfit, including a warm jacket and sweater combo, a thick wolly scarf, a pair of fluffy earmuffs, boots to prevent him from slipping on ice and the snow and goggles to complete his look.

The trailer showcases this warm and fluffy outfit, which may also feature a unique charm that rings each time Jeff moves or joyfully shows his love and support for his teammates, but we'll confirm if this is true. There will also be Jeff's Winter Greeting card, likely as a reward, which he comes bearing with additional gifts to give to players, but details on what they may have are yet to be determined.

The Winter Celebration event also marks new cosmetic skins for additional heroes, which will be available from the in-game Store once it goes live in Marvel Rivals. Heroes receiving the Winter Holiday-themed cosmetics include Venom, Rocket Raccoon, Magik, and Groot, whom the latter gets decorated into a walking and talking Christmas tree adorned with Guardians-themed decorations for Adam Warlock, Mantis, Rocket Raccoon, and Star-Lord, which pricing has yet to be confirmed as of writing.
