FC Schalke 04 made it official on Friday, with FC Schalke 04 confirming the announcement via their Twitter page. FORG1VEN, who hasn’t played since his time with H2K-Gaming in 2016, has always been vocal and adamant about wanting to return to professional League of Legends play once he completed his military service, so it was only a matter of time before he found a new home in the esports community.
The 27-year-old and MVP of the 2015 Spring EU LCS Split will undoubtedly help FC Schalke 04 in their quest to become consistent contenders.
THE KING IS BACK. So excited to finally unveil the return of @FORG1VENGRE as our starting AD in 2020.#nullfear#lec#forgiven#lolesports#LeagueOfLegends

Since joining the LEC, Schalke 04 has made two playoff appearances, both during the summer, while reaching the finals during the 2018 Summer Split. They were defeated by Fnatic during this year’s semifinals. FORG1VEN will start as Schalke 04’s ADC, a position formerly held by Elias “Upset” Lipp, but signed with Origen earlier this week.
FORG1VEN’s upcoming stint with FC Schalke 04 will be his first time playing in a professional league since April 2018, the month he competed at the EU Masters tournament.
FORG1VEN has previously played for SK Gaming, Gambit Gaming, H2K Gaming, Copenhagen Wolves, and Origen. During the 2015 season, FORG1VEN was suspended for four games for "a pattern of negative in-game behavior and toxicity” and was previously benched by the Wolves in 2014 for attitude issues. T
hough FORG1VEN will be reunited with top laner Andrei "Odoamne" Pascu, a former H2K teammate, only time will tell if his attitude has changed at all within the sport.
