Following the conclusion of LoL Worlds Final 2024, taking place in our home town of London, all eyes will be looking ahead to 2025 as teams compete to secure their place in Chengdu.
Of course, it hasn't been long since LoL was last in Chengdu, with the city having just hosted MSI 2024. In a recent blog post, Riot Games said, "we experienced an incredible atmosphere and a passionate fanbase, and we can’t wait to return for another unforgettable event."

Where is MSI 2025 Taking Place?
So with Worlds heading to Chengdu, where does that leave MSI? Well, Riot Games has confirmed that MSI 2025 will be heading to Canada. At the end of June 2025, following the conclusion of Split 2, the Mid-Season Invitational will see 10 qualified teams from across five regions head to Canada.
During the Media Day, Riot Games also announced a third global event — First Stand. This new tournament will ensure that teams will need to be at their strategic best to overcome the challenges that await.
