In a powerful fight against Chinese team Bilibili Gaming (BLG), T1 have secured themselves yet another championship title at League of Legends Worlds 2024. The best of five saw the teams compete across all five matches, offering audiences one of the most dramatic LoL events ever seen.
Despite BLG securing an early win, and nailing down the first blood across four of the five matches, it was T1 that emerged the stronger team thanks in no small part to the Oppo Finals MVP, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok.
Faker Named Finals MVP for a Second Time
This marks Faker's second MVP award, and his fifth title across his League of Legends career. Given his performance, and the overwhelming reaction from the crowd, it's no surprise that he remains the most decorated League of Legends player in history. For BLG, however, T1 denied the Chinese team of their first Worlds victory, though it wasn't without a fight.
League of Legends Worlds Final 2024 took place at the O2 Arena in London, UK on November 2, 2024. A $2,225,000 USD prize pool was up for grabs, with T1 walking away with their $445,000 first place share.
With Worlds in London concluded, fans and players can look ahead to 2025 where LoL Worlds Finals will take place in Chengdu, China.
