GTA Online Cayo Perico Heist Max Payout Reduced In Weekly Update

GTA Online has officially been out for 10 years now. No one expected it when it first launched but there was a surprising amount of longevity to the game that made it last up to the recent Anniversary Event. Now that the Anniversary Event is over, we can see that there is still a lot more content for players to check out in the future.

For example, areas like Cayo Perico are getting updated with new game modes and events for players to check out. Not only that but there are also plenty of updates for the content that already exists in GTA Online. Most recently, it seems like Cayo Perico had some payout updates that will affect how players will approach the island.

Cayo Perico Heist Gets Payout Nerfs In GTA Online

One of the main money makers in GTA Online is the heists that are in the game. Players go through a process to rob a facility and the Cayo Perico Heist offers the biggest payouts. Some people solely focus on the Cayo Perico Heist to make their money. Even though that is the case, it looks like the Cayo Perico Heist will give a lower payout now.

Reliable data miner @TezFunz2 on Twitter noticed that the Cayo Perico Heist is now lower. Primary targets will now pay 30% less than what they were before and the setup fee went from $25,000 to $100,000. Not only that, but all of the secondary targets except for gold had a 10% decrease in value. Overall, it is much harder to make money off the Cayo Perico Heist now.

Assault On Cayo Perico Get Payout Buffs In GTA Online

As you can see, doing the Cayo Perico Heist will now pay far less than what players are used to in GTA Online. But even though that is the case, the new Assault on Cayo Perico Heist will pay much more than before. Although Assault on Cayo Perico is not a heist and not the best money maker, this is good news for players.

To put it into perspective, each payout in the Assault on Cayo Perico pay margins got doubled. Depending on how far players go or how well they defend the targets, players will get paid nearly double compared to what they were getting paid before. Although it is not the most amount of money in the world, it still gives more incentive to try out the new game mode.
