Is A GTA 6 Announcement Coming In 2023? Tom Henderson Thinks So

GTA 6 is the next highly anticipated title from Rockstar Games that will pick up from the insanely successful hit that was GTA 5. Although many fans aren't expecting the game to release any time soon, some insiders suspect we'll be getting some more news surrounding the game in the form of an announcement very soon. 

So in this article, we'll be taking a look at the possibility of an announcement for GTA 6 coming in 2023. And why many fans expect an official reveal from Rockstar Games sometime this year. 

Tom Henderson Predicts A GTA 6 Announcement In 2023

Fans of the GTA series and one specific insider, Tom Henderson, strongly believe that we will be getting some news surrounding GTA 6 this year. There are two main reasons for this suspicion, the release schedule of previous titles from Rockstar Games, and some of the information released from the companies involved with the game's production and release, namely; Microsoft and Rockstar.

So let's start at the beginning, Tom Henderson, a notorious video game insider suspects that an announcement for GTA 6 will come sometime this year and the game itself will release in 2024 or 2025 if there are any delays. This is based on the previous announcement dates and subsequent release dates of titles from Rockstar Games. 

Previous games were announced and then released two years later. The pattern was spotted in games such as GTA 5, which was announced in 2011 and released in 2013. And Red Dead Redemption 2 was announced in 2016, then released in 2018. Since GTA 6 was revealed to be in development last year, this would lead most to believe a full announcement will come this year, leading to the game's release in 2024 or 2025. 

The next clue we have stemmed from statements from Rockstar Games, which stated that they would reveal more about GTA 6 "soon." This was the first time the company officially confirmed a new Grand Theft Auto game, and was on the 4th February 2022. So now that it's been nearly a year since then, it's highly likely we'll be seeing an official update or announcement sometime this year. 

Microsoft also tipped its hand slightly when it announced that the game would be playable by 2024, making an announcement for this year even more likely. Though this could be subject to delays and "playable" can have various interpretations. 

So for now, it looks more likely than not that we'll be receiving an announcement for GTA 6 this year. Though it hasn't been officially confirmed and all information should be taken with a grain of salt, we're keeping our fingers crossed for more news on the next goliath to come from Rockstar Games.
