We've all been anxiously awaiting a new trailer for one of gaming's most anticipated titles, GTA 6. All eyes were on The Game Awards 2024 in the hopes of more gameplay and story elements being unfolded but, alas, we were left wanting.
Thankfully, we're not completely starved of news as a new, higher resolution version of the game's first trailer recently surfaced on Chinese social media site BiliBili. While it is the same trailer we saw back in 2023, less compression for videos on BiliBili means there's a few more intricate details that stand out this time around.
As highlighted by GTA 6 X (Twitter) account @GTASixInfo, the detail on character models and environments is actually far better than we originally thought. For example, we can see better textures in the sand and water on the game's beaches, stretch marks on character bodies, and even arm hair on new protagonist Lucia.
Fans have already been combing through the new trailer in search of anything we may have missed first time around. Of course, don't expect any major story elements previously hidden in a lower bitrate to be uncovered.
While it's not the brand new trailer we were hoping for, it's better than the Rockstar's radio silence since the game's first official reveal. Here's hoping the beginning of 2025 brings us a deeper look into Grand Theft Auto 6.
