We've entered a new year, and with it comes anticipation for more news about GTA 6. The last official update came in 2023 when the game's first trailer was released. While 2024 remained relatively quiet, many believe 2025 will be the year we finally get more details. Some fans think they've figured out when the next trailer will drop. Let’s dive into these speculations and see if they hold any weight.
Fans Believe They've Nailed Down the Next GTA 6 Trailer Release Date
While 2024 was packed with speculation and leaks hinting at a second GTA 6 trailer, it sadly never materialized. However, as we step into the new year, fresh details have emerged to analyze and discuss. The most intriguing clue comes from a recent post on X by Rockstar, promoting the latest GTA+ offerings in GTA Online.

In the post, a container next to the featured car displays several numbers. Fans quickly jumped into speculation mode, with the GTA 6 news account GTA6Plus pointing out that these numbers must hold some significance, stating, “They have to mean something.”
When fans broke it down, they noted that adding up the numbers on the container equals 30. Additionally, a highlighted "2" on the container could hint at a second trailer. What’s even more interesting is the possibility that the number "30" refers to January 30th, which falls on a Thursday. This is significant because Rockstar has a history of making major announcements, like GTA V and RDR2, on Thursdays.

Adding to the speculation, an investor call is scheduled for February 6th, just a week after the trailer drops. If the trailer were to drop on January 30th, it would coincide perfectly with Rockstar discussing the next big steps for GTA 6 during the call. While none of this confirms anything, it does provide compelling reasons to believe the community might be onto something.
Of course, there’s always the chance that these numbers are purely coincidental and fans are simply grasping at any small detail they can find - a fair reaction, considering it’s been over a year since the first trailer. Fortunately, January 30th is just around the corner, so we won’t have to wait long to see if these theories hold water. For now, let’s keep our fingers (and toes) crossed that something big is on the horizon for GTA 6!
