Fortnite Shockwave Hammer: Location & How To Use

It is time for the newest chapter of Fortnite to commence. Fortnite Chapter 4 is officially out and with it, a lot of unique content is coming your way. There are brand-new movement options available to players, some of which are weapons.

One of those weapons is the Shockwave Hammer. This hammer is taking the internet by storm and you will want to know all about it if you want to keep up with the rest of the players in Fortnite. Where To Find The Shockwave Hammer In Fortnite Chapter 4

As with every large chapter update of Fortnite, the map goes through a lot of changes. The changes reflect the story of what is happening in the Fortnite universe and they give players a new area to do battle in. With the Shockwave Hammer being one of the new key weapons in Chapter 4, it is important to know where you can find this weapon consistently. This is especially true if you want to do challenges with the Shockwave Hammer.

If you want to find the Shockwave Hammer consistently, try finding it at The Citadel on the map. The Citadel is on the western side of the map. Players have reported that they are consistently finding the Shockwave Hammer in The Citadel.

There are special white chests that spawn within the Citadel and a Shockwave Hammer will usually spawn from these chests. So if you have challenges to complete, go to The Citadel to find the Shockwave Hammer.

How To Use The Shockwave Hammer

Using the Shockwave Hammer is more intuitive than you might think. As you might have guessed, the Shockwave Hammer is a special weapon in Fortnite. While holding it and aiming, you can see that the Hammer has four circles near the reticle.

These reticles represent the number of bounce charges the hammer has. The hammer can be used for mobility by bouncing you forward and upwards. It can be used in rapid succession up to four different times. Each charge is refreshed after a 15-second cooldown, so you will never run out of charges and need to replace the hammer.

On top of that, the hammer has a powerful normal attack at melee range. Players will take around 110 damage due to the hammer. So it is strong to use against your opponents. One of the things you can do is bounce toward your enemy and when you are about to land near them, you can slam your hammer down and deal massive damage to them.

Mainly though, we suggest that you use the hammer for mobility. The speed that the hammer sends you flying is insane and you can get out of bad situations very quickly with it. Of course, if the opportunity strikes, do not be afraid to use the hammer as a weapon.
