The Shockwave Hammer gives you the ability to slam the hammer into the ground and launch yourself into the air while dealing some damage to any enemy standing too close, however, it does have a cooldown time and can't be used more than 5 times consecutively, well that is until now. The infinite hammer jump glitch breaks the mechanic and allows you to repeatedly land and launch yourself over and over again while dealing damage to anyone nearby. 

This glitch, while fun to do, has been the source of controversy in the Fortnite community. As players are complaining that it's ruining the balance of the game since a player using it can easily one-shot you when they land near you or easily avoid taking damage, since moving this quickly makes you almost impossible to hit.

How To Do The Infinite Hammer Jump Glitch in Fortnite

The Infinite Hammer Glitch is fairly simple to understand but its execution can be slightly tricky to pull off. To do it, players will need to use the jump ability of the Shockwave Hammer in the ocean or any body of water, which you can do by finding or building a small platform above it to jump from, then smack the water with your hammer to launch yourself. 

Once you're in the air, you'll need to land on any ground surface that isn't water to continuously jump, and voila, you're doing the infinite hammer jump glitch. This may sound simple, but it can be tricky to pull off, so you'll likely need to practice a bit before getting it right.
