Impulse Grenades Returning To Fortnite - Chapter 3 Season 3

A popular leaker has revealed some information that leads us to suspect the return of Impulse Grenades to Fortnite shortly. These weapons were popular among battle-royal players and if it does return to the game, they could become a powerful weapon for players to add to their arsenal as the new Seasons roll in.

Impulse Grenades Returning To Fortnite - Chapter 3 Season 3

The Impulse Grenade was originally introduced in Fortnite's 2.5.0 update in February of 2018. These grenades are significantly powerful and can easily knock back enemies and dominate close-range gameplay.

As with various of the items and weapons that have been released in Fortnite, Epic Games vaulted the impulse grenades, removing them when Chapter 1 Season 6 rolled around. They were reintroduced again in Chapter 2 Season 8 but vanished from the game once again with the following Season.

Now, according to the reputable data miner/leaker and popular Twitter user HYPEX, there is a possibility that the IMpulse Grenade will make a return soon, likely as soon as Chapter 3 Season 3's next update. This suspicion comes from the fact that HYPEX found sounds and effects for the grenade hidden in the game's data.

These changes could be reflected in the content update that went live on the 26th July according to HYPEX, however, the coveted Impulse Grenade remains elusive in the current Season and seems to still be sitting idle in the Fortnite vault. These sound effects however could be a pointer that suggests the likelihood of the grenades coming soon and perhaps it's currently in testing.

This could also mean that the return of the Impulse Grenade could mark the exit of the Shockwave Grenade, as the reverse happened when the Shockwave grenade was introduced. So as time goes on, we will have to wait and see regarding Epic Game's decision moving forward, and whether we will be getting the Impulse Grenade in Fortnite's Chapter 3 Season 3.
