Fortnite v19.10: Release date, time, and weather effects

There has already been so much new content for players to enjoy in Chapter 3 of Fortnite as the storyline continues to unfold. A new map was introduced at the beginning of Chapter 3 Season 1 after The End of Chapter 2 in-game event flipped the Fortnite island over.

Winterfest returned for a December run in the Holiday season and the event will be wrapping up on 6th January with new content to follow. Already being rumoured is a major title update including map changes and more.

When is the Fortnite v19.10 update?

According to popular Fortnite leaker HYPEX, a new weather update will be coming to the Epic Games servers next Tuesday, 11th January. Scenes from the Chapter 3 trailer suggest this new weather could involve tornados, lightning, and more.

This would certainly make logical sense with the Winterfest promotion ending on 6th January, so the game devs would likely want to remove the holiday decorations from the map. Get ready for some major weather changes, likely coming soon to the Fortnite island.

Fortnite Flare Gun Chapter 3 - Update v19.10

Also discussed by HYPEX in the recent Fortnite leaks, battle royale players can expect to see a new Flare Gun added to the weapons and loot pools. Flare Guns have previously been featured in Fortnite Chapter 2 as a weapon that deals damage upon impact as well as starts a fire in the immediate surrounding area.

It will be interesting to see if the Flare Gun comes back to the battle royale with any tweaks or if it's simply un-vaulted to bring back an old friend for long-time Fortnite players.
