Fortnite Pelé Cup: Schedule, how to join, format, and rewards

Epic Games has partnered with legendary Brazilian footballer Pelé to bring Pelé's famous "Air Punch" as an Emote in Fortnite.

Starting 23rd January, you can purchase the famous goal celebration as an Emote in the Fortnite Item Shop, but if you are skilful enough, you can earn Pelé's Air Punch a few days before everyone else.

Epic Games is bringing an event called the Pelé Cup to celebrate this occasion, and that's a perfect chance for you to earn Air Punch for free and before everyone else!

Here's everything you need to know about Fortnite's Pelé Cup.

The Pelé Cup is scheduled for 20th January. All specific times will appear in-game depending on your region, so make sure to check that as soon as you can!

Pelé Cup: How to join

Players will be able to join the Cup in-game. In order to join the Cup, players must rank in the Open League (Division I, II, or III) or higher within Arena in their respective region by the start of the match.

Pelé Cup Format

• Pelé Cup is a solos tournament
• Each session will last approximately 3 hours.
• The top point-earning players on the in-game leaderboard from each region will be awarded prizes.

Here's the scoring system that will be used for the leaderboard

• Victory Royale: 20 points
• 2nd: 15 points
• 3rd: 13 points
• 4th - 5th: 10 points
• 6th - 10th: 8 points
• 11th - 15th: 7 points
• 16th - 20th: 6 points
• 21st - 25th: 5 points
• 26th - 30th: 4 points
• 31st - 40th: 3 points
• 41st - 50th: 2 points
• 51st - 75th: 1 point

Each Elimination: 1 point

The best players from each region will be rewarded with signed FC Santos Jersey, “Pelé’s Air Punch”, and other various cosmetic rewards.
