After featuring a successful collaboration with Dragon Ball Super, Epic Games continues to revolutionize its battle royale with every new patch. However, with Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 soon ending, players are left questioning what’s next to come.
After presumably encountering issues while scheduling their social media posts, Epic Games inadvertently leaked the release date and information about their latest update, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4, entitled "Paradise."
Fortnite Season 4: Paradise - Everything We Know So Far
On 10th September 2022, popular leaker and informant Shiina BR shared the leaked videos on their social platforms, which included the official banner for Fortnite Paradise Chapter 3 Season 4.

Shortly after, Epic Games unveiled its teaser of Season 4 with an ominous background sound on its official website. Accordingly, the company unveiled the official release date for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 "Paradise" as 18th September 2022.
So, it turns out that this is chrome, not oil. #FortniteSeason4#Fortnitepic.twitter.com/AMSNtkzdrZ

It all happened because Epic Games allegedly encountered issues with their social media scheduler, where some bots managed to access the content before it got posted.

For those curious, basically Epic Games had an issue while scheduling tweets where some bots managed to access the scheduled tweets before it got posted. pic.twitter.com/UYIZosOX4Q
The mistakenly posted content were videos, similar to advertisements meant to market Fortnite’s supposed upcoming season. For example, in one video, a person talks about their pesticide product to rid vegetables of bugs until their tomatoes suddenly start turning to chrome (a metal-like goo substance).
Another video shows a person pouring cereal into a bowl and attempting to eat it; before they can, it turns to chrome. Another hint toward this mysterious chrome substance and the season’s theme revolves around this leaked phrase: “Chrome will consume all, Chrome will be all.”

At this point, I'm convinced that none of these videos are leaks, but Epic intentionally published those already.

Uncertain of what this might mean, some players assume that “chrome” will be Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4’s main antagonist; a hive mind that wants to “consume” everything.
After all these leaks surfaced, Epic Games also posted a dedicated web page for Fortnite Paradise'. Albeit rather empty, the website details the release date, name, and ethereal, ominous music playing in the background.

For now, it’s all speculation toward Season 4’s thematic and the mysterious substance, chrome.
As the upcoming Fortnite patch draws nearer, releasing on 18th September 2022, players will have to wait for more leaks to surface or until Epic Games officially announces the full details for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
