Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 cryptic teasers spotted around the world

Cryptic teasers have started appearing in real-world locations for Fortnite Chapter2 Season 2, which is set to start on this Thursday on the 20th February.

According to reports from players around the world, the teasers have been seen in Australia, Brazil, France and the US. A video advertisement was spotted on TV screens in a Sao Paolo train station, which showed a gold handprint over the word Fortnite alongside a phone number. 

Users who call the number are played a pre-recorded message saying "Yes, Sir. The agents were called. Card to access the safe acquired." The location or function of the safe is a matter of speculation with many players theorizing that it may refer to the vault that was discovered under Loot Lake during Chapter 1 Season 2. 

The gold theme has also appeared on the official Fortnite channel confirming that "Gold" will feature majorly in Chapter 1 Season 2.

Some of the best information has come from Fortnite's army of data miners - who trawl the game files in the search of upcoming additions to the game.

With all these new gold objects in the world has led many to believe that Epic has plans to introduce a new Gold material to the game. If this is the case this would be one of the biggest additions to the game since the game started.

There is also a leak of a character called "Oro" which looks like a level 100 skin if we ever saw one, the legendary skin bares the description - "Golden treasure, an eternal obsession."

Some have also connected the Oro skin to a voice message discovered when calling the US teaser number which mentions an "oil rig operation". 

This has been the longest wait between seasons since the start of Fortnite and will be the first new season since the game was updated to the new Unreal Chaos physics engine which Epic has stated allows them to make changes to the game not previously possible.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is scheduled for release on Thursday 20th February.
