Fortnite Ariana Grande Icon Series skin: First look, release date and more

The Fortnite Rift Tour launches from the 6th of August and is expected to feature international superstar, Ariana Grande. This follows after Epic Games announced that the upcoming Fortnite event will include a "musical journey into magical new realities, where Fortnite and a record-breaking superstar collide".

There are also several posters plastered around Fortnite that hint at the upcoming concert event. Now, we have the opportunity to have a look at the exclusive Ariana Grande Icon Series skin set and the release date, following recent leaks by data miners.

Ariana Grande Icon Series Skin: First Look

Trusted data miner, iFireMonkey revealed the superstar's Icon Series skin on Twitter and it looks amazing! HYPEX (another data miner) further revealed that the skin will contain variants.

This skin design is different from an earlier concept model, which you can see below. It's also possible that this could just be a different variant of Ariana Grande's Icon Series skin, though.

iFireMonkey also revealed statements regarding the collaboration, from both Ariana Grande and the Epic Games team. Ariana said that "working with Epic and the Fortnite team to bring [her] music to life inside the game has been so fun and such an honour".

Ariana Grande's feature was also positively received by the Epic Games team.

Ariana Grande Icon Series Skin: Release Date

Ariana Grande will arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on the 4th of August at 8 PM ET or 1 AM BST. The backpack bling that you see in the video is called "Piggy Smallz".

It is also confirmed that most of the event files will be added in the Fortnite 17.30 patch, which will be released within the next 3 days. Additionally, the upcoming Rift Tour event will be a concert event (not a storyline event).

We're unsure what Ariana Grande's setlist for the Rift Tour concert will be but we suspect it will likely contain songs from her recent album, "Positions" that she is currently promoting.
