What Do Medallions Do In Fortnite?
Once defeated, each of the season's bosses drop a Medallion which provides players with a unique perk to use within that match. While this might seem like a huge advantage, the countermeasure is that any player who picks up a Medallion will have their location revealed to every other player.
It won't be a specific marker, rather a yellow ring around the affected player that gives a rough location vicinity. It means that other players will always know that you're nearby, just maybe not an exact location.

All Medallion Locations In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
In order to find the Medallions in Fortnite, you'll need to find the respective boss on the island. You'll then need to defeat them, which is easier said then done. Each boss has a significantly higher health pool than other NPCs you'll find, and some even have minions that you'll need to content with.
For a handy guide on where to find each boss, fortnite.gg has provided a map with each location:
It's worth mentioning that a boss only drops one Medallion per match. If you can't find a certain boss in their respective location, another player may have beated you to it. But there's still hope. If you take out the player holding the Medallion, they'll drop it and you'll be able to pick it up and use the effects yourself.
