There are many unique abilities and Skills for the Tarnished to learn during their time in the Lands Between of Elden Ring. One of these skills is the Wave of Gold, and it is as powerful as it is beautiful.
Today we will show you how to get the Wave of Gold in Elden Ring, including locations and the stats you need. And give you some tips and tricks you need to wield it effectively.
How to get the Wave of Gold in Elden Ring
The Wave of Gold is a special skill that cannot be found via Ashes of War in Elden ring. It can only be obtained by receiving the Sacred Relic Sword from an NPC trade in the Lands Between. The Skill itself is a wave attack that moves forward in the player-facing direction for several meters and deals damage as it does so.
To find the Sacred Relic Sword, the player will need to head to the Roundtable Hold and speak with Enia. You can then trade Elden Remembrance with her to receive the Sword and other Remembrance weapons as you progress through the game.
You can get Elden Remembrance as a drop item after defeating major bosses in the game. After trading these with Enia, you can receive weapons such as Marika's Hammer or the Sacred Relic Sword.

Once you have received the sword, you will be able to use the Wave of Gold ability that is imbued in the weapon. The Skill itself has a few stats that you should know before using it in tough or high-stakes battles.
The FP cost of the Gold Wave is 50, and it is not a chargeable skill. The skill also scales with Faith and not with Dexterity or Strength, so it's worth throwing a few levels into your Faith stat before using this weapon and skill as your main offense.
The skill has a 2-second charge and a long attack range that widens as it moves outwards. The attack does lose 20% less damage at longer ranges, however, so keep this in mind when attacking from a distance.
The attack also can be buffed with various Charms, Talismans, and Crystal tears to increase its overall attack strength for short bursts of time. But it is worth noting that any buffs that increase damage over consecutive attacks won't apply since the Skill is not considered consecutive.
And that's everything you need to know to find and use the Gold Wave Skill in Elden Ring. We hope you found this guide informative, and for more Elden Ring guides and news, please see our dedicated Elden Ring section here.
