UPDATE: Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Scheduled For Feb. 14th, Registration Opens Until Jan. 20th

Elden Ring fans will be "eating good" in 2025 as developer FromSoftware announced a new IP set in the world of The Lands Between. Elden Ring Nightreign is "a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, crafted to offer players a new gaming experience by reimagining the game’s core design."

Following the premiere of the official Gameplay Trailer at this year's The Game Awards, which teased a handful of characters and themes that lore theorists can sink their teeth into, the developer has announced some new information to look forward to in 2025. While the news isn't a release date, it is something that's happening much sooner, and it begins next January 2025.

10th January 2025: Developer FromSoftware confirms that the Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign runs between 14th and 17th February 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. In a social media post, the developer also revealed that the game would launch for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles. The original reporting continues below.

FromSoftware announced on social media and the game's webpage on Bandai Namco's website that a Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign will occur in February 2025. The date for when the Network Test starts has been confirmed, and it will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles; registrations for the upcoming testing period will be open on 10th January 2025.

The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch. Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.

It's unclear why the developer has omitted making the Nightreign Network Test for PC next February; it's still being determined if a separate test will be coming to the PC once the console Network Test concludes. As such, we'll update this news article once we get more details and provide additional information in separate articles on the upcoming Network Test for Elden Ring Nightreign coming to consoles in February 2025.
