Aside from basic launch time fixes, players have been eagerly anticipating the first major EA Sports College Football 25 update. Some teams are still in need of authenticity adjustments, and players continue to loudly request certain glitches and logic issues be addressed. We may finally have a release date for the next College Football 25 update, and at least one new uniform style is on the way.
Baylor Bears tease College Football 25 update
In a short clip shared to the official Baylor Football account on Twitter, their newest uniform design is featured with the EA Sports logo and "it's in the game" capping off the preview. Baylor Football tagged the official EA Sports College Football account, and by retweeting it they seem to have confirmed fans can expect the uniforms in-game on August 8, 2024.
Baylor Athletics first revealed their new anthracite uniform style, named for a type of black coal with the highest energy density and fewest impurities, with a YouTube hype video back at the end of May 2024. Since the uniform isn't already in the current build, it would take a newly deployed College Football 25 update to make these slick uniforms available.
So far, there hasn't been any further confirmation of exactly when this College Football 25 update will deploy. However, we know from an earlier patch notes preview that they've been working on Super Sim Logic Tuning, Recruiting Logic Tuning, several bug fixes, and authenticity improvements to address incorrect logos and audio glitches.
If any other teams are getting new alternate uniforms added to the game we could see additional teasers, and EA Sports will likely drop a full Campus Huddle blog post outlining all the fixes and new content included in the update. With their Madden update tendencies in mind, we expect the College Football 25 update to deploy either overnight or mid-day tomorrow with full patch notes likely to drop by Noon ET.
