Following a few small hotfixes in recent weeks, College Football 25 update 1.012 is the most significant set of changes since the late August title update landed. The biggest change here that players might notice once they're back in the game is that more than 20 schools now have new uniform pieces to choose from, but there are plenty of other changes that could impact every area of the game. We've outlined the most important changes here, but you'll also find the full official College Football 25 update 1.012 patch notes for players who need to know every last detail.
College Football 25 Update 1.012 Patch Notes (September 19)
With the real-world season already underway featuring the kinds of upsets fans love to see, College Football 25 update 1.012 brings plenty that may entice players to dive back into the game. Whether you wanna right the wrongs of your favorite school's 2024 failures or recreate their latest big win, there are some key gameplay changes to keep in mind.
Custom Audibles can now be saved across all modes for up to 32 playbooks, and players can press LT or L2 after choosing a formation in playcall to change audibles. Wear and Tear should be fixed now, and there was Composure tuning to make ratings affect how quickly players get hot or cold in a game. EA Sports has also now partnered with a current day Run and Shoot coach to help add new plays in the Run and Shoot offensive playbook and increase the overall authenticity of this scheme.
Speaking of College Football 25 playbooks, there are several new defensive plays in the Nickel 3-3 Over, Nickel Over, Nickel 3-3 Odd formations. Nickel 3-3 Mint enters the 3-3-5 playbook, and Nickel 3-3 Cub was added to the 3-4 Multiple and 4-3 Multiple playbooks.
Several stadiums got authenticity updates, and the following schools have new uniforms to use: Colorado, Louisiana Tech, Northern Illinois, Colorado State, Boston College, Oklahoma, Georgia State, Texas State, Kansas, Fresno State, Liberty, Western Kentucky, Arizona, South Carolina, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Texas, Sam Houston State, Kennesaw State, ULM, Tulane, and Jacksonville State. Texas State, Liberty, Georgia Southern, and Jacksonville State also had some adjustments made to more accurately match their 2024 season uniforms.
Several changes were made to improve how the game's CPU teams play, and Dynasty Mode got several important fixes. The big one for Dynasty players to keep in mind is that the reward for higher school grades when pitching with hard or soft sell has been increased, but the penalty for pitches the recruit isn't interested in when hard and soft selling has also been raised. If you wanna see every last change, you can find the official College Football 25 update 1.012 patch notes below.
