If you wanna create a Heisman quality career for the ages, College Football 25 Road to Glory is the place to be. The student athlete experience has been ugpraded for the modern age, and that means everything from academics to scoring NIL deals is on the table.
Whether you've been playing NCAA 14 for a decade, are jumping from years of Madden, or haven't touched a football game in ages, this guide will give you a leg up from day one. We'll go over the big decisions players have to make at the start and all the most Road to Glory tips you need for College Football 25.
Best Position, Journey, and School for Road to Glory
When you start a new Road to Glory save in College Football 25, the first thing you need to do is decide on your Settings and whether you want to realign for Custom Conferences. You can easily just leave conferences as they are, but players looking for the feel of the proper PAC-12 a few years back or a Big 10 and Big 12 that actually match their name can make some adjustments. Settings are mostly up to preference, and rest assured all of them can be changed after starting, including the option to use custom realistic sliders.
Choosing your journey allows players to pick their prospect quality and starting rating. Elite players will have a major advantage, but those looking to test themselves may prefer the challenge of an Underdog. If you're not super familiar with the intricacies of college football, the best path to start will be quarterback or halfback.
Halfback is the simplest in terms of your overall role, but you'll still be challenge on higher difficulties to hone your field moves to create plays even when the run blocking breaks down. Quarterback is the best traditional feel, but it's good to keep in mind that you'll still be limited to only a few plays even as a starter who can enable play selection. You will however have the power to go no huddle at any time, and that lets you audible your way down the field between a few play choices.
Ultimately, your position and archetype are up to preference in playstyle. Running through Road to Glory as a Scrambler QB is going to have a completely different feel than using a Pass Coverage MLB, and all of them can be made particularly strong over time. How to Spend Energy on the Weekly Agenda
While your pure play on the field will have the biggest impact, you don't want to overlook the importance of strategizing with your Weekly Agenda. You'll have a set amount of energy each week to spend on Academics, Leadership, Health, Training, or your Brand. As tempting as it might be to bury all your time in Training, it's not the most efficient option.
If you want the benefit of removing Academics from the equation entirely in your final season, check out our guide on how to graduate early in Road to Glory. Even if you don't go quite that hard, keeping Academics solid nets you Coach Trust and gives you the Fan Favorite ability for increased composure gains at home.
Leadership is an important investment for anyone looking to level up quickly due to the XP boost, and the standard composure gains paired with the Clearheaded ability will help at all times. You also might notice that you do net a small chunk of XP when you boost leadership, though not as much as if you spend those hours on Training.
Health is, put simply, not something worth risking. While you can try to train harder and just go into games hurt, you will risk a serious injury which would wipe out an entire chunk of a season in a single moment. If you're spending energy on Training, make sure you've got some leftover to get your Health back to the max.
Lastly, Brand should be your last priority, much like would ring true for real world college athletes. If you have extra hours after handling the other categories, drop a little energy in Brand to upgrade the Road Dog ability which helps you keep composure on the road.
When you receive texts at the beginning of each week, you should always assume that risky choices will have significant consequences. If you try to cheat on a test, you'll almost always get caught a week later and see your GPA take a nosedive.
If you choose to betray a teammate and turn off his alarm, you'll get caught and it'll put a dent in your Leadership. If you try using a burner account to defend yourself against fan criticism, an accidental post the next week will tip them off and cause a big reduction in your Brand.
Lastly, the dark horse over time will become NIL deals. You need to carefully consider every deal and whether the benefits are worth the energy costs. If you're keeping Health in check regularly, it might not be worth losing some energy to take an NIL deal for a compression sleeve that protects your wear and tear.
On the other hand, spending a few energy upfront for something that nets you a big Leadership boost can be more than worthwhile. Everyone's Road to Glory will be different, but with these tips you should be on the path to success in College Football 25.
