One of the most important aspects of College Football 25 Dynasty Mode is the game's extensive recruiting system. With dozens of players to consider across multiple positions throughout the year, it can be overwhelming knowing where to begin and how to get players signed quickly. Whether you're trying to build one of the best recruiting classes in the nation or just want the best a smaller team can manage, we've got details on the fastest way to sign recruits in College Football 25.
How to Sign Players Quickly in College Football 25 Recruiting
At the beginning of each season, setting up your recruiting board is a critical step in starting your year off right in College Football 25 Dynasty Mode. You'll spend most of this initial setup scouting players and offering contracts to the ones you most want to target, and the amount of scouting you can do will be impacted by your total recruiting hours and the coach abilities your staff currently has.
If you made a coach with the recruiter backstory, the initial abilities for that path will speed up scouting. This boost also stacks if multiple coaches have the same ability, so having all three coaches be recruiting focused can help you scout players using less than half the amount of hours. If you want more recruiting hours, the only way to increase the total you get to work with is by improving your Team Prestige.
If you have higher Team Prestige, you'll have better odds of signing high value 5 Star and 4 Star recruits and be able to scout more players to open the season. While you want to have your recruiting board full at all times as even players without dedicated hours can have some influence gains and motivations revealed each week, be careful not to spread your hours too thin between players.
When you've got more coach abilities that are recruiting specific or are with a higher prestige program, you'll have better odds at scoring players outside of your pipelines. However, teams with high pipeline grades could catch up to you quickly, so be careful with out of pipeline prospects.
Identify your most critical signees that are attainable for your program, and dedicate as many hours as possible to them each week. You can check your Team Needs at any time, but players who want a better idea of overall roster numbers should check out our guide on needs per position across different schemes.
Every single week, you want to check all your recruits to see if pitch actions are available and whether you've learned enough about their motivations to use them. Also, don't be afraid to bail on a recruit if other teams are far ahead of you in influence. If a team with a better pipeline is close to signing a prospect or multiple teams with better pipelines have already offered scholarships and got high influence, you should probably dump that prospect off your board and spend your recruiting hours on someone else more attainable.
As seen above, you can often determine a player's ideal pitch even before all three green interest checkmarks appear. Select any pitch action, and go through all the different pitch strategies. The only two pitch strategies that include both Championship Contender and Conference Prestige as motivations are Conference Spotlight and Sunday Bound, but Sunday Bound uses Pro Potential which this recruit already has confirmed as not being part of their ideal pitch. Process of elimination like this with pitch strategies is critical to do week to week so you can maximize the impact of hours you're spending on players.
If you've got a player with a lot of red X motivations uncovered but no green checkmarks, try to view pitches to see if a few could fit and whether all possible options have an overlap, such as three possibilities where each of them has Pro Potential. While you can't setup an ideal pitch if multiple strategies look viable, you could try a soft sell, sway, or use this to determine a motivation to target with a scheduled visit.
Speaking of visits, you want to schedule them as quickly as possible. If you wait, a player may get all their future weeks filled up with visits to other schools (even if they later go down to a Top 3 that doesn't include one where a visit was scheduled during the Top 5 phase) and this could lock you out of scheduling a visit unless they're still unsigned during offseason recruiting.
If you're worried about getting any of this wrong on a Dynasty Mode save you're planning to dedicate a lot of time to, try starting a new save with another team and only handling recruiting. Test out targeting different types of players and just advance week and let games be simulated so you can get a feel for how recruiting fluctuates throughout the year. With a little practice, you'll soon be signing the best recruits in College Football 25 just a handful of weeks into a season.
