After multiple delays, Dying Light 2: Stay Human is finally out. Techland's ambitious sequel to 2015's surprise zombie open-world adventure is feature-rich, and players can explore every nook and cranny for upwards of 500 hours.
While Dying Light 2's branching narrative takes centre stage, the gameplay has plenty of bells and whistles to keep you engaged. This brings us to one of the most crucial traversal tools, the paraglider, which you can unlock and upgrade in Dying Light 2. So, without further ado, here's our guide on getting the paraglider.
How to get Paraglider in Dying Light 2?
The paraglider is one of the Nightrunner Tools, which you unlock through crucial story moments. There are a total of 6 Nightrunner tools at your disposal, one of which is the paraglider.
You get paraglider halfway through the main story, which is a shame since it drastically changes open-world traversal for the better. The second half of the map is unlocked after finishing the quest, "Let's Waltz!"
For the next mission, "A Place to Call Home,'" you will have to make your way to an area called Central Loop, where you have to talk Lawan at the beginning of the mission. Lawan will give you the paraglider alongside a brief tutorial to get you acquainted with this new incredible tool.
After the mission, the paraglider will be yours to use as fit in the open world. To get started, jump from any building, and a button prompt will appear to enable paraglider. Afterwards, you will hover gracefully across the post-apocalyptic city.
Note: It may take a while getting used to it so if you end up crashing it, find an air vent to repair it.
Dying Light 2 - Paraglider upgrades
You can upgrade the paraglider by visiting Craftermaster NPCs in the open world. They are marked with crescent-shaped symbols with arrows on the map. The paraglider has two upgrades that you can unlock.
The first one increases manoeuvrability and range. It adds the ability to increase height while in flight. You can get this for 2 Military Tech and 1000 Old World Money.
The second one adds the ability to boost speed. It costs 3 Military Tech and 2000 Old World Money.
