Oxcart Courier Quest Guide: Where To Find Lennart In Dragon's Dogma 2

Dragon's Dogma 2 is littered with side quests, one of which is the Oxcart Courier quest where the Arisen must escort an Oxcart to Melve to deliver a letter. As you leave Vernworth, you'll likely be stopped by an Oxcart merchant, Donovan, who is in need of a reliable adventurer to see his Oxcart safely through to Melve. 

He'll hand the Arisen a letter, penned by Lady Margit, that must be delivered to Lennart in Melve. This quest might seem a little clunky, so we'll guide you through each step.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Oxcart Courier Quest Walkthrough

Once you accept the quest, Donovan will give you 200 Gold, enough to cover your trip to Melve and back. Depending on whether or not the Oxcart is there already, you might need interact with the sign to wait for it to leave. Once it's ready, speak to the driver to pay your fare then head round to the back of the cart, get in, and sit on the seat.

It'll take some time to get going, so select the option to "doze off" with you respective control scheme. You'll wake up in the midst of battle, as Donovan warned. Jump out of the cart and assist your pawns and the travelling guards to fend off the attackers. 

Once the battle is over, jump back into the cart and sit back down. You can "doze off" again or ride out the cart to get to Melve. Once you've arrived, it's time to find Lennart.

Where To Find Lennart In Dragon's Dogma 2

As you arrive in Melve, you'll notice that the yellow quest marker will span the entirety of the area, so you won't be directed to Lennart and will instead have to find him. Close to the entrance you might stumble across Lennart's house, but he won't be inside. Instead, turn around and head back to the burnt, ruined section of Melve.

Lennart will be stood near the well, in the middle. If you haven't made it back to Melve before this, Lennart might accost you with a quest. He'll ask if you'd be willing to aid in the rebuilding efforts by driving out a nest of nearby Saurians. You don't need to complete this quest in order to hand over the letter from Lady Margit.

Speak to him again after accepting the Saurian quest and you'll be able to hand over the letter from your inventory. You'll then need to head back to Vernworth and inform Donovan that you've completed the quest. He'll reward you with the Miner's Hosen and 5000 Gold for your trouble.
