Thanks to the largest roster in series history, there are plenty of different characters to unlock in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. While it hasn't been canon for several years, Dragon Ball GT did make the cut along with several Dragon Ball Z movies. We've got the details players need to unlock Uub in Sparking Zero along with some background for players who don't already know this character.
How to Unlock Uub & Majuub in Sparking Zero
For longtime Dragon Ball fans, seeing Uub on the roster may have been a nostalgic flashback to the Dragon Ball Z ending many remember from a time before Dragon Ball Super. If you need Uub (as well as Majuub) on your Sparking Zero roster, there are two different ways to make it happen.
The first and most direct way to unlock Uub in Sparking Zero is in Goku's Episode Battles. You'll need to reach the tail end of the midway point for Goku. After getting through the earlier arcs with Vegeta, Frieza, and Cell, you'll begin the Majin Buu Arc. You don't have to complete any branching paths or secondary clear conditions to reach this point, and that means players who need to can lower the difficulty.
Once you reach and finish "The Power of One, The Power of All," you'll get Uub (GT) on your Sparking Zero roster. As Majuub is a transformation he has access to, that will also unlock Majuub as playable for those who prefer to start as the transformed version in a battle. If you're struggling with Goku's Episode Battle, you'll also have the option of purchasing Uub at the in-game shop for 60,000 Zeni after you've reached Player Level 10.
Who is Uub in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
Fans who haven't seen the original ending of the Dragon Ball Z anime in some time or those who primarily have watched Dragon Ball Super may not immediately recognize the name. Uub is actually the reincarnation of Kid Buu, and the final episodes of Dragon Ball Z included an epilogue where Goku challenged Uub at the World Martial Arts Tournament.
In that version of canon, Goku sought to give Earth a defender of its own rather than having to rely on a Saiyan. Goku wished for Kid Buu to be reincarnated as a human child, and thus Uub was born. He's only seen very briefly in Dragon Ball Z, but Uub plays a more significant part in Dragon Ball GT.
Thanks to extensive training with Goku, Uub is incredibly strong in Dragon Ball GT and stands against villains like Baby, Super 17, and even Syn Shenron. Early on in GT, Uub needs more power and ultimately chooses to fuse with Majin Buu. This combination of the good and power of his old self combined with Uub's hardened training with Goku gives us the even stronger Majuub.
While the epilogue of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT are no longer canon, Uub actually is still present in Dragon Ball Super. As early as the buildup for the Tournament of Destroyers, there is a mention from Goku that he asked King Yamma to bring Kid Buu back as a good human kid.
However, at that time he's still a newborn and will not be able to assist them in the Tournament Destroyers or the eventual Tournament of Power. We may see a Super version of Uub in the future, but you can take Uub (GT) and Majuub into action now in Sparking Zero.
