The Archthrones mod for Dark Souls 3 has received positive reception from the majority of Souls fans in the audience as well as those who just wanted to try it out. However, like with any mod, it's not without its technical issues, which is where most of the negative reviews have stemmed from.

So to address this, the Archthrones Team has committed themselves to constantly updating the game and improving on the core experience through patches, of which the first one is currently live. So in this guide, we'll detail all the fixes and improvements made in the latest patch of Dark Souls Archthrones.

Dark Souls Archthrones Patch 1.1.0 Details

The Archthrones Team took to Twitter to announce the release of an update for the Demo following a week of gathering feedback and intensive work. This update brings enhanced compatibility with the newest version of DS3 (1.15.2), alongside adjustments to balance, improvements to quality of life, and bug fixes. Although the patch notes are extensive, here's a condensed overview.

Map Changes: 

  • Rainswept Outpost (Tutorial Area)
    • The player is no longer immortal; respawns at the start upon death if the boss has not been encountered yet.
    • Nexus of Embers: Mandatory visit to the Throne of the Bountiful Queen (War-Torn Village) before other thrones.
    • Ebrius has 30% resistance to all damage, with "infinite" health.
    • Mirror of Self-Reflection in Nexus laboratory allows appearance change and attribute reallocation.
    • Possible fix for flashing lights in Nexus laboratory.
    • Chest in starting room allows re-obtaining lost key items.
    • Fixed the issue of Yellowfinger Heysel repeating dialogue.
    • Fixed game crash when placing Coiled Sword on app ver. 1.15.2.
    • Eleum loyce of the boreal valley:
    • Adjusted ingredient flower position to prevent skipping Janara's dialogue.
    • Restored tree in outskirts where wolves are.
    • Added corpse before Captain Erdan boss fight, offering Soul Greatsword sorcery and Magic Clutch Ring.
    • Chest atop elevator in Ivory Fortress now grants Dragonslayer Greatbow and 10 Dragonslayer Greatarrows.
  • Phoenix Tower, Irithyll:
    • Removed jewelry map pieces from profaned capital.
    • Moved treasure near broken tower down near wraith.
    • Added Chloranthy Ring.
    • Reduced absolution and dissolution cost at Warden Jessa.
    • Adjusted enemy layout.
    • Added treasure past Keeper of the Old Lords granting Soul of an Old Hand.
    • Fixed bug where Keeper of the Old Lords would talk after the fight ended.
  • War-torn village:
    • Added Estus Shard, Rusted Coin x10, Rusted Gold Coin x4, Fire Arrow x10, Charcoal Pine Bundle x4.
    • Adjusted enemy layout; removed and replaced some enemies.
    • Added shortcuts and treasures.
    • Added patrolling winged knight behind stables.
  • Carthus of the sands:
    • Added green blossoms, Undead Bone Shard, Covetous Silver Serpent Ring, Large Titanite Shard x2, Lightning Gem x2.
    • Removed floating rubble inside the building.
    • Possible fix for Lailah appearing in Obediah's arena if Obediah is alive.
  • Cathedral of the Deep:
    • Adjusted enemy placement and loot; removed corrupted Milfanito.
    • Added items such as Cathedral Knight set and weapons.
    • Reflavored fog statue to show "CURSED!" instead of "TOXIC!".
    • Reduced absolution and dissolution cost at Velka statue.

Enemy Changes:

  • Various changes to enemy resistances, drop rates, and behaviors.

Bosses:

  • Adjustments made to boss resistances, attacks, and AI behavior.

Player equipment:

  • Fixed various weapon and armor issues, adjusted scaling, and added new items.

Map scaling:

  • Adjusted scaling effects for different areas to balance difficulty.

NPC shops:

  • Adjusted shop inventories and prices for various items.

Player mechanics:

  • Changes to stamina cost, attack animations, and guard counters.
